Mito Stars Football Club
Who We Are
Mito Stars Football Club was founded in 2014 by a group of talented girls and the owner Mito Matola, who also serves as a chairperson for school sports at the Department of Education Johannesburg Central District (D14) and serves as a technical officer in SAFA Johannesburg Region.
Our Mission
- To be committed in developing excellence in individual and team performance through consistency and a comprehensive approach to player and team development.
- Our club seeks to offer an interesting, competitive and educational program that emphasizes the importance of community, honesty, integrity and other life lessons/ values through sports.
Our Vision
- To produce high-quality, disciplined players who will represent the team and the country on the world stage.
To encourage teenagers, more especially girls, to participate in sports.
Success Stories
- Mito Stars Football Club won the SAFA League in 2017 and in 2018 we were the runners up.
- In 2019 & 2021, Mito Stars Football Club won the Discovery Walter Sisulu Challenge.
- In 2022, Mito Stars Football Club won the league in Northern stream of SAFA Johannesburg Region.
- In 2022, our team was represented by five players and one coach for the Winter Games Gauteng U/17 girls Provincial Team.
- In 2018, we produced 3 players for the South African U/17 Team as well as U/20 National team.
- In 2022 we had 5 players who received call ups for the Bantwana Bantwana / Under 17’s call-ups.
- Mito Stars Football Club have 4 players that are signed under the Hollywood Super League and some have been signed by Mamelodi Sundowns FC Ladies Team.
- We have been participating in tournaments like Zodwa Khoza, Stix Morewa and Discovery.
